He graduated from Istanbul University (Çapa) Faculty of Dentistry in 2004 and started his doctoral studies in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Diseases and Surgery in 2005. He completed his doctorate in 2010 with his thesis titled 'The Effect of the MDR-1C435 Gene on Gingival Growth in Patients Using Cyclosporine'.
